New Childrens Book On Bullying Deals With Death And Forgiveness

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- How do you tell a story to children about the tragic death of a friend as a result of unrelenting bullying? New Era Introducing North America Announces Winner Of Most Unique Display Of Self-Expression In Headwear Design

Artist Marconi Calindas of San Francisco will receive a $10,000 grant to assist in launching his artistic career. Marconi's winning 59FIFTY design will also continue on in a touring gallery exhibition and will be published in a limited edition New Era Introducing book along with the other 100 finalists.

After being presented with a blank 59FIFTY and asked to unleash his creativity for the second phase of the project, Marconi was moved by the tragedy of teen suicide. He used his distinct rendering technique, utilizing pure bright hues and black outlets, with a bold visual vocabulary to help the viewer to feel the tragedy of a life lost.

20th Festival Of Philippine Arts And Culture

FilAm ARTS in inviting family, friends, and fans to experience the largest annual celebration of Filipino Arts & Culture in Southern California! FPAC is a two-day weekend of arts, culture, fun, and community, and yearly audiences of over 25,000 intergenerational and multicultural supporters, representing 20 years of community tradition.

Marconi will be participating at this year's FPAC on Sept 10-11, 2011. FPAC take places at Pt. Fermin Park in San Pedro. The address is 807 Paseo Del Mar in San Pedro, CA.
